My role as a coach is to help my clients move from where they are now to where they want to be more quickly and effectively than if they were working on their own. My coaching focuses on two key areas:
Career coaching will help you to learn more about yourself so that you are able to make better career decisions and identify viable career options. Further, my coaching will enable you to gain the confidence to market yourself effectively to employers, so that you are able to secure your dream job.
Work Life Balance Coaching
There are a lot of demands on our time these days, especially with technology enabling us to be connected 24/7, and it can be hard to switch off. I help you to identify the changes you need to make to have a better balance in your life and ensure you put together an action plan so the changes are implemented.
Who do I coach?
Whatever your situation, I will help you to discover what’s really important to you so that you can set goals and develop strategies to ensure you achieve this. Via one to one sessions you’ll gain insights that will make you more self aware and increase your personal impact, as well as improve your self-esteem and confidence. You can then continue to move forward and succeed in all areas of your career and personal life.
I offer clarity and a way forward for:
- People who are unhappy in their job and in need of something more fulfilling
- Mums looking to return to work after a career break
- Men and women who have been made redundant
- Graduates wanting to take their first step on the career ladder
- Business men and women needing to achieve a better work-life balance
- Professionals who wish to develop in their career
“Life can be challenging at times, but by investing in coaching, you can create a better future. We all enjoy spending money in order to treat ourselves, whether it is buying clothes or a new car, eating out, going to the theatre or going on holiday. Treating ourselves is important and something to look forward to. However, the thrill is often short lived and you still have to return to your everyday life where nothing has changed. By working with me you are investing in your future, a future where you’ll be happy and confident in your career and life choices.”Tanya Ces Maneiro
Choose your level of support
Coaching isn’t a ‘quick win’ solution. It’s something that you will need to invest some time in if you wish to see great results. I offer a variety of three, six or twelve month coaching programmes so that everyone’s needs are catered for. I always recommend booking onto one of my coaching programmes because they offer the best value for money and enable you to really get to grips with things. However, you can always opt to work with me on an hourly basis and I’m also very happy to discuss tailoring a package to your specific requirements.
If you’re not sure what type of support is best for you, please do contact me for a friendly chat with no obligation to commit until you’re sure that it’s the right thing for you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Not everyone has heard of career or work-life balance coaching and there are a few questions that often crop up. I’ve created a list of some of the most frequently asked questions here for you, but please get in touch if you want to ask about anything else.
What is coaching?
Coaching is a tool that is used to empower individuals and help them to reach their goals. It is a structured conversation between the coach and the client, in an environment which is completely judgment free.
As your coach, I will provide you with the opportunity to explore the areas of your life that are important to you by listening, asking questions and finding out what your challenges are. I will support you to set goals and inspire you to make positive changes that lead you towards your desired results.
As my client, I will encourage you to make decisions and take responsibility for these decisions. You will be open to making changes in your life and to taking steps forward to achieve your goals.
What happens in a coaching session?
Each session begins with a brief review of the actions you have taken since the last session, so that you can share successes. Then a goal for the current session is set and we consider where you are at the present moment and what your options are in order to meet this goal.
By the end of each session, you will have committed to undertaking a number of actions to move you towards your overall objective. Between each session you will undertake the actions or tasks that you have set for yourself.
What are the differences between coaching and other support services such as therapy, counselling and mentoring?
Coaching differs from counselling and therapy because it is future focussed. Thus, in order to help you move forward, I will not be delving into your past, but encouraging you to set and work towards goals.
Mentors, counsellors and therapists tend to give advice during their professional sessions but coaching is a non advisory support service. Coaches do not give advice because we believe you are the expert in your own life and that you have all the answers within you. As a coach, I will support and encourage you to find those answers, thus ensuring you get what YOU want.
Who else will know what has been said?
A coaching session is completely confidential. I agree and comply to the Coaching Code of conduct (you will receive a copy of this if you decide to go ahead with the coaching) and only in extreme circumstances will this confidence be breached. This includes the intent to cause harm to yourself or others, or criminal acts.
How do I get started?
Please either use the contact form or send me an email so that I can answer any further questions you may have and/or to arrange an informal chat on the phone.
Once you have decided that you wish to commence coaching, I will forward you a welcome pack which includes a coaching agreement and a client profile sheet. This will give me a better understanding of what is going on in your life right now and what you want to achieve from coaching.
